New Google Books Features

Brian Badgers, the Project Manager of Google Books, released a report on the new features that will be included in the next Google Books upgrade. Here are the seven new features:

1. Embeds and links [to post in blogs & web sites, similar to Youtube]
2. Better search within each book [refined search algorithm]
3. Thumbnail view [of individual pages]
4. Contents drop-down menu [from top of the page]
5. Plain Text Mode [in HTML & derived from the Optical Character Recognition OCR]
6. Page Turn Button and Animation
7. Improved Book Overview Page
